Director
Peter is a director and writer based in Hamburg. With a true passion for authenticity and honesty, he writes and directs films on the intersection of DOCUMENTARY and FICTION. Always on the search for cinematic beauty in life, his main motivation is the human encounter while shaping his films. This led him to the exploration of a divers range of film genres. Recently he had a lot of fun in exploring the MOCKUMENTARY format.
His background in media science and film theory shaped his career in the film festival sector and the creative industries. For almost a decade, Peter was the Head of Directors Department of a major production company, before shaping his own directorial voice. His extensive knowledge in film production is paired with his passion for artistic short film formats, music and subculture. He is part of the renowned Hamburg Short Film Festival and he travels the world with an independent artist group doing outdoor guerrilla cinema.
His works gained recognition at major awards such as ADC, BERLIN COMMERCIAL and at the EFFIE Awards. The films resonated in mainstream media, television and went viral on Youtube.
